Sigep is an annual international exhibition of ‘Artisan Gelato, Pastry, Confectionary and Bakery’, held every year in the city of Rimini in Italy. In the artisan gelato sector, it is considered to be the ‘Mother of all Gelato Tradeshows’ and is regarded as one of the most important and awaited event in this segment, worldwide.

This grand international gelato tradeshow that spans 5 days, witnesses over a million visitors from more than 120 countries each year and is indeed a first-class extravaganza. As a one-of-its-kind event, it provides a plethora of growth opportunities to manufacturers, business owners, investors and entrepreneurs hailing from the gelato industry worldwide, under a single roof.

Over the last few years, Sigep has gone beyond gelato and broadened its horizons to include chocolates, pastry, bakery items and even quick selling fast food such as pizzas, pastas, and features some of the best exhibits, demos, training courses and competitions.

What’s in Store This Year

In its 36th edition this year, Sigep 2015 is all set to showcase the very best products, raw materials, machinery, production equipment, fittings and furnishings for the artisan gelato and bakery businesses from January 17 to January 21, 2015 at Rimini, Italy.

The tradeshow will be divided into thematic sections and will feature a series of multilingual seminars, courses, demos, international contests and championships for participants and visitors. Like every year, the highlight of Sigep 2015 will be the much coveted ‘World’s Best Gelato’ Award, which will have some of the best names in the business compete with each other to amaze the judges and attendees with unique flavors and win the prestigious prize.

With over 800 stalls, this gelato mega show will also give visitors a unique opportunity to observe and interact with the world’s best gelaticians, learn tips and tricks of making the perfect gelato and test sophisticated and state-of-the-art gelato machinery, such as pasteurizers, batch freezers as well as small equipment manufactured by reputed international brands, in order to get acquainted with the nitty-gritty of gelato supply chain and production. Importantly attendees would get to know the merchandising perspective of gelato, directly from the biggest and the best names in the business!
