What’s a concept?

In case of needs, we wish to remind you.

DESITA concept

Concept art is a form of illustration used to convey an idea for use in (but not limited to) films, video games, animation, or comic books before it is put into the final product. Concept art is also referred to as visual development and/or concept design. This term can also be applied to Retail, fashion, architectural and industrial design.

Who popularized or even invented the term “concept art” in reference to pre-production design is perhaps ambiguous, although references to the term can be found being used by Disney as early as the 1930s. It may have also come about as part of automotive design for concept cars.

Retail design is a creative and commercial discipline that combines several different areas of expertise together in the design and construction of retail space. Retail design is primarily a specialized practice of architecture and interior design, however it also incorporates elements of interior decoration, industrial design, graphic design, ergonomics, and advertising.

Retail design is a very specialized discipline due to the heavy demands placed on retail space. Because the primary purpose of retail space is to stock and sell product to consumers, the spaces must be designed in a way that promotes an enjoyable and hassle-free shopping experience for the consumer. The space must be specially-tailored to the kind of product being sold in that space; for example, a bookstore requires many large shelving units to accommodate small products that can be arranged categorically while a clothing store requires more open space to fully display product. Retail spaces, especially when they form part of a retail chain, must also be designed to draw people into the space to shop. The storefront must act as a billboard for the store, often employing large display windows that allow shoppers to see into the space and the product inside. In the case of a retail chain, the individual spaces must be unified in their design.

So, what’s a concept in our sector?

Well, for us is an almost infinite quantity of elements, tools, informations, experiences, intuitions, trends, perceptions, colors, materials, sounds, perfumes, displays and so on. A concept is made by thousands of intangible things that normal consumers usually do not see or understand immediately but absorb and use unconsciously.

To design a concept it might seems easy but to create a successful concept for a profitable business it is not and experts are needed.

This is our motto:

It’s imperative to create a winning concept
in today’s market, saturated with competition,
to ensure your chances of success.
You must make your customers aware
of your business’s unique character,
to stand out among the competitions.
