That’s right: are the judges of the DESITA GELATO AWARD 2016

Participants, please meet here following the judges of the first International design contest about gelato:

Alessandro Luciani

ALESSANDRO LUCIANI

Over 15 National and International awards of Retail Design won in the last 3 years, first Italian designer to win the Global POPAI Award and the 44th International Store Design Awards. He wrote for different specialized magazines and he is one of the author of the book “Retail Design e Marketing“ (FrancoAngeli editore). For Grottini he has designed Inspirational Hub, DS Group Digital Boutique, Dr Fleming Health&Pharmacy, U-BOAT Watch Boutique, Pirelli Tires, Tonino Lamborghini, New Balance Store, and many more. He is now collaborating with DESITA.

Gianpietro Sacchi

GIANPIETRO SACCHI

Interior Architect and Industrial Designer. Major projects developed throughout a 30 years professional career include, among others, shop chains, hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues; several private houses, mansions and apartments. Former President of AIPi – Italian Association of Interior Designers.Co-founder of POLI.design-Consortium of Politecnico di Milano in 1999. Director of several post-lauream courses at POLI.design-Consortium of Politecnico di Milano. Former Contract Professor at Politecnico di Milano. Lecturer at International Executive Master in Interior Design Lan Tao. Culture Beijing  MIEID. Art Director at Ad Maiora Milano an Italian Outdoor furniture Company. Writer of articles for several Interior Design magazines. From 1990, guest speaker and lecturer in several Interior Design conferences and member of international design award juries.

Eleonora Cozzella

ELEONORA COZZELLA

Graduate with a degree in Philosophy at La Sapienza University and specialized in Journalism at Luiss, has been coordinating since 2006 the site Food & Wine of the Group Espresso-Repubblica; she writes for Guida I ristoranti d’Italia of Espresso, collaborates with several Italian and international magazines on topics of food and wine. She is panel leader for Italy of the international jury which annually ranks the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Over the years, her passions have turned into real specializations in specific areas of food: pizza in particular (she teaches at the Università della Pizza -University of Pizza), Pasta (subject of the book she is writing) and Gelato (she is often member of juries for gelato competitions). She coordinates and leads food and wine events like the ‘Identità di pasta’ – Identity of pasta – and ICWC, the Gelato World Cup.

Andrea Soban

Gelato Chef who owns with his family three gelato shops often mentioned by the Italian and international media as among the best in Italy for the quality of the gelato offered. Andrea, expert in social media management and web design, has been among the first to create a blog about gelato. He was elected ‘Miglior Gelatiere d’Italia 2013′ (Best Gelato Chef of Italy 2013), he has participated at numerous conferences dedicated to the world of gelato organized during the most important events of the sector, and has been part of numerous competition juries, including ‘Gelato Pixel Passion’ and the first world final of the ‘Gelato World Tour’ 2014 in Rimini, where he was president of the jury journalists. In 2016 he published his first book entitled Avanguardia Gelato, written together with his colleagues Paul Brunelli, Gianfrancesco Cutelli and Alberto Marchetti, for the new series ‘Gelateria Moderna’ of the publishing house Italian Gourmet.  

Cesare Puglisi

Journalist, Dr. in “Business Science” with specialization in “economy and communications technology”. Publisher and editor of specialized magazines of artisan confectionery and catering. Professor of marketing at different schools specialized in the food sector. Member of the honorary committee of the Gelato World Cup.

Expert in Design for Business, he is supporting entrepreneurs helping them realize their projects. Owner & CEO of DESITA, the International Foodservice & Retail Consultancy Company specialized in concept design, franchising and contract. Vice President, National and International Coordinator of IREF Italia, the European Franchise & Partnership Network Organization. Member and Ambassador to Italy of MENAFA, the Middle East and North Africa Franchise Association. Member of the Knowledge Tank at Know How Franchising, the International Franchise Academy. Representative for the sustainable business to Italy of H.H. Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al Nuaimi, aka “Green Sheikh”, member of the Ruling Family of the Emirate of Ajman – UAE. Speaker at: TEDx Milano, BIFEX Beirut, Franchising EXPO Dubai. Blogger.
